Today's photograph is the one when having carried out to the friendship festival of the Yokota base this summer. It is that ordinary men put into the Yokota base only at 1 time of this time per year. However, it is large! It is too large! Is a large thing transmitted also from this photograph?
A lower photograph is the cautions sentence which here makes regard it as there being nothing in Japan again. Since it is described as 1942, it is shown that this base was used immediately after the WorldWar2.
Please perform the direction of an airplane lover to a friendship festival next year by all means. Since holding time is not fixed, please refer to the "Yokota base" and a "friendship festival" from about June.

今日の写真は、この夏、横田基地の友好祭に行ってきたときのものです。横田基地に一般の人が入れるのは年１回のこの時だけです。しかし、広い！広すぎます！写真からも広いことが伝わるでしょうか？また、下の写真はここが日本では無いと思わせる注意文です。昭和２７年と記述されていることから、この基地が戦後まもなくから使用されていたことを示しています。
